The questions passengers, caregivers, and coordinators ask us most.
We recommend 24–48 hours for local trips and 3–5 days for long-distance or wheelchair trips so we can guarantee your preferred pickup window. Same-day rides are often possible — call and we'll try our best.
If you're a full-benefit Virginia Medicaid member with no other way to reach covered care, transportation is generally a covered benefit scheduled through your health plan or the state's NEMT broker. Rules and contacts change, so confirm with the number on your member card — or call us and we'll point you in the right direction.
Your driver comes to your door, offers a steady arm or wheelchair assistance to the van, secures you safely, and escorts you to check-in at your destination. On the return, we meet you inside — you're never left at a curb.
Yes. One escort or companion rides free on every trip. Just note it when you book so we plan seating.
Our lift-equipped vans handle standard and most oversized wheelchairs with four-point securement plus a lap/shoulder restraint. If you use a specialty chair or scooter, tell us the dimensions when booking and we'll confirm the right vehicle.
Daily service across Williamsburg, James City County, and York County; regular trips throughout Newport News, Hampton, and the wider Hampton Roads region; and long-distance medical trips statewide by reservation.
Scheduled service runs Monday–Saturday, 5:00 AM–7:00 PM, with early-morning dialysis runs and weekend/after-hours trips available by advance reservation.
Life happens — cancel or reschedule up to 4 hours before a local pickup at no charge. Long-distance trips ask for 24 hours' notice. Recurring passengers can pause a standing schedule anytime with one call.
Private-pay trips accept card, check, or facility invoicing; Medicaid-covered trips are billed through the transportation benefit at no cost to eligible members. You'll always know the price before the ride.
